Dec. 18, 2012 (Webb City, MO) - Missouri Governor Jay Nixon and his economic development team visited Cardinal Scale Manufacturing to announce third quarter export sales figures for the state and tout Cardinal’s continued growth in international sales. The governor, along with local officials and media, toured the Cardinal Scale factory, met with ownership and management, and held a press conference with local media. Cardinal Scale has grown their export sales business by 27% in the past 4 years since winning the Missouri Governor's Export Sales Award in 2008. International export sales comprise about 20% of Cardinal's overall sales.
Gov. Nixon has hailed Cardinal Scale Manufacturing as a positive example for other exporters in the state. Nixon used the visit as a stage for his announcement that Missouri's third quarter exports were up $128 million, which puts the state on track to break 2011's record of $14.1 billion in export sales revenue.
